Happy Mother’s Day!

13 May

Back when my mom had big hair and I hardly had any.

Dear Mom,
Thank you for all your hard work and your incredible fighting spirit in keeping me and your other two kids secure and sane, and for supporting me 100 percent in the pursuit of my craziest dreams. I know that it hasn’t been easy for you and that I don’t show my appreciation for you enough, but today I want you to know that I love you every day and am thankful for you. I’m proud to say that I get my strength from you (Plus the inflated eight-year obsession for American Idol that started with you and the tendency to scream at my TV while watching sports). Like mother, like daughter. I love you!

Big love and special thanks to the other matriarchs in my family, my maternal and paternal grandmothers. To every mother out there and to all my readers’ mothers, wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day!

May

30 Apr

Goodbye April. You were a joy.

It’s insane how fast this year has already gone by. Just last month, I wrapped up my internship. Now I’m approaching the one-year mark of my college graduation. Whoa!

This month is going to sweep me off my feet: The Avengers is FINALLY hitting theaters, more Giants games with my favorite people, Mother’s Day, another round of NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences, and hopefully lots and lots of sunshine!

(Oh yeah, I’m looking forward to fixing up this blog and taking more pictures. And writing more focused/in-depth posts than just these little things. It’ll happen, I promise!)

What are you looking forward in May?

Moving forward, yet falling behind (On this blogging thing)

23 Apr

The field of dreams are in my shades (And also, my sister's cell phone).

If you’re wondering where I’ve been, I curled into a fetal position and went into hibernation after the 49ers lost in the playoffs to the New York Giants (See my last entry).

Except not really.

No, I was lost in the craziness and the fabulosity of the last four months! My city’s football team may not have advanced to the Super Bowl, but life has made me feel like nothing less than a winner. Here are some random thoughts, reflections, and experiences to share (Sorry for the lack of photos but I’ll post more in the future when they come!):
